J. Robert McAllister, III
J. Robert McAllister, III concentrates his law practice in business, health care and tax-exempt organization matters. His business and health care practice has consisted of representation of health care providers and organizations, including health care practitioners, practitioner groups and entities, hospitals, continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), and health care joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. Bob has also represented businesses and tax-exempt organizations, including closely held and other businesses and business owners and employees, and provided business and tax planning advice for corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and sole proprietorships.

Affiliations & Activities
In addition to the Virginia State Bar, Bob is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association (and its Health Law Section), a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a member (and former Board of Governors member and Chairman of the Young Lawyers Division) of the Virginia Bar Association (and a member of its Health Law [Section Council Member] and Business Law Sections), a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation (Fellows Council member (2000-2006), and a member of the Fairfax County Bar Association. He is a past President of the Arlington County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Goodwin House, Incorporated, which owns and operates two CCRCs in Northern Virginia.
