McCandlish Lillard seeks an experienced mid-to-senior level associate (that would be 3 – 5 years or more of experience) to help grow the firm’s family law/domestic relations practice and also the firm’s wills, trusts and estate planning/elder law practice. The attorney would likely be resident in the firm’s Fairfax office but could also spend time at our Leesburg office, depending on circumstances.

Candidates should have experience with complex divorce litigation, agreement drafting, and a broad range of family law issues.  The right person must enjoy working with clients, and be first-chair ready.  Training in collaborative divorce would be a plus, but is not required.

Experience, training or education and a willingness to work in the field of wills, trusts and estate planning/elder law is preferred.

Virginia Bar and familiarity with northern Virginia court procedures are essential. Applicants must have strong analytical abilities, sensitivity to client needs, a love of and skill at problem-solving, excellent writing and communications skills, and must work well with clients and colleagues.
