McCandlish Lillard is thrilled to welcome Joanna Thomas as a summer associate.
Joanna is a rising third-year student at Washington & Lee University School of Law. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2018 with a double major in public policy and government.
Joanna previously interned for the Honorable George D. Varoutsos, Chief Judge of the 17th District of Virginia Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court and for the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia in the Health, Education, and Social Services Division. Joanna is interested in pursuing a career in litigation.
At W&L Law, Joanna serves as Chair of the Negotiations Competition on the Moot Court Executive Board, Research Assistant to Professor Franklin Runge, and Head Kirgis Fellow organizing the first-year law student mentorship program. She is also involved in the Women’s Law Students Organization.
