McCandlish Lillard is pleased to announce that David E. Murphy has joined the firm as a Senior Associate in its Litigation practice group. David will work primarily in the firm’s Fairfax office, but represents clients in both state and Federal courts of Virginia and Washington D.C.
David advises and represents clients regarding employment disputes and litigation, post-employment restrictive covenants, severance review and analysis, executive compensation, termination and separation of employment, business and commercial litigation, personal and business torts, breach of contract, and defamation.
David said, “McCandlish Lillard is a storied, Northern Virginia institution, and I am honored to be a part of it. While I practice many types of litigation, I am most excited to further develop the firm’s Employment Litigation practice.”

David grew up in Fairfax County. He received his B.A. from The University of Pittsburgh and his J.D. from The University of Wisconsin Law School. David is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Virginia, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin.
